What is Implantation Bleeding: Causes and Symptoms

Implantation bleeding can happen after the fertilized egg is placed in the interior lining of the uterus which is happening just after approx 10-14 days of ovulation. Implantation bleeding is just light bleeding from the vagina which is not even remarkable, Even some women have not an idea about this so this is not claimed any kind of medical care. This symptom is counted in early pregnancy symptoms.

When Does Implantation Bleeding Timing?

Well, many peoples don’t even realize about implantation discharge, so many of them notice at all like this. While some peoples experience light bleeding, cramps, and some abdominal pain during the implantation.

Implantation bleeding happens coz when an egg is fertilized with an egg, and that is called an embryo and the embryo travels to the uterus and implants itself to the lining. When an embryo attaches to the lining that can cause little bleeding that you may notice or sometimes not noticeable. Maybe you get confused with periods. Coz this is also the time of periods. It happens so many women do not even realize that they are pregnant.

You may have symptoms like menstrual cramps and something like this:

  • Mild Cramping
  • Brown or pinkish Implantation bleeding
  • Only for once, you will see the bloo
  • Not last longer bleeding
  • spotting after implantation

Also, you may experience early pregnancy symptoms like fatigues, cramps, nausea, tender and swollen breasts,  headque, and an upset stomach. Mood swings and peeing more than usual.

You can even take a pregnancy test kit and check at your home after missing your period.

How Long Implantation Bleeding Happens?

Mostly period could long 5-6 days and implantation bleeding happens only once.

Symptoms of Implantation Bleeding

Generally,  Implantation bleeding lasts longer for a minute and menstrual cycles up to three to seven days, and from heavier to lighten up. So implantation blood looks like light spotting and typically dark brown or black color. This color looks dark which means it’s older blood and comes to cleanup. Although sometimes it could be bright red and light pink discharge as well.

It’s common to not notice by women and find out the difference between both of them. So, women get confused with periods and implantation bleeding.

When you should Concerned and See a Doctor?

Implantation bleeding is not the cause of concern and not pose of risking the baby and development of a baby. After missing your period you are experiencing bleeding or spotting for more than a few days this does not look like implantation bleeding.

Here are some reasons for post-implantation light bleeding during pregnancy

  • Small tears and irritation from intercourse
  • Heavy exercise and excessive lifting
  • UTI or vaginal infection
  • Cervix irritation

More bleeding can be a sign of a serious issue and something more like that especially when you are pregnant. Some women are experiencing vomiting and nausea, abdominal pain, and dizziness. It is sometimes can cause ectopic pregnancy.

Not sure What Should Do?

Sometimes it is difficult to understand what kind of bleeding is happening, in that case, you can wait for one or two days, and then you can check by a pregnancy test kit. If that bleeding continues for four to five days then you may be understood that it’s menstrual bleeding.
